Anti-Wrinkle

Anti-Wrinkle are injected into specific facial muscles to soften facial lines and expressions, temporarily relax the muscles and helps to reverse the signs of aging.  Anti-Wrinkle injecting have been used in the cosmetic industry for over 10 years and use to treat certain medical conditions for over 20 years and is the most commonly performed aesthetic procedure in the world.

 

 

Consultation

Your facial muscles are studied, to see how they work, you will be asked to pull different facial expressions. During your consultation you will be shown using a mirror the type of effect you will get following treatment. In some cases Anti-Wrinkle injection  can be given the same day.

 

Preparation

If you decide to go ahead with your treatment, any make up will be removed from the treatment area and your skin disinfected.

 

What areas are treated

Foreheadlines-horizontal frown lines

 

Glabellar lines- vertical frown lines between your brows.

 

Crows Feet- commonly known as laughter lines at the side of the eyes.

 

How is it given

Using a tiny micro-neddle, small amounts of Anti-Wrinkles are injected into the required areas. Because the needles are so fine, the pain is minimal. No anaesthetic is necessary however you will be offered an optional anaesthetic cream. The treatment itself takes around 15 minutes, and you will be able to return to your usual daily activities immediately afterwards.

 

How long will it last

This varies from person to person, but on average 2-3 days to start working and up to 2 weeks for the full effects to be seen. The speed of action will depend on your facial muscles. The duration of the action lasts up to 5 months, you will notice a gradual fading at which point it is time for a new treatment. Over time less frequent injections are required.

 

 

What about side effects

There may be slight discomfort as the needle enters the skin. There is also a possibility of bruising or pin prick bleeding at the site.  Arnica cream is applied following treatment to minimise both of these, in most cases these disappear in 24 hours.

 

 

After Care

You will be given an aftercare sheet following treatment:

 

• Avoid extreme facial expressions

 

• Avoid excessive alcohol consumption for 24 hrs

 

• Avoid make up for 24 hours

 

• Avoid exposure to strong sunlight/extremes of temperatures.

 

• Avoid flying for 24 hours.
